As I prepare for the big move, I’m actually getting excited about putting all of my STUFF in storage for a year. I’ve already noticed a shift in my thinking: when I look at a West Elm catalog, or an Etsy shop online, I’m no longer thinking, do I “need” that for my place?
There is freedom in letting go. There is release in choosing simplicity.
I hope this year will be a time for me to make some permanent mental changes, and integrate a more simplified way of living in the future.
I hope that I find more enjoyment in the non-material, and place more value there than on the STUFF sitting in box somewhere.

Sounds so good. I feel the same. My friends and I bemoan the fact we have spent 30 yrs. buying stuff that we now are trying to get rid of. Our new motto is “if it is not a necessity forget about it.”
