It’s been over a month now, since Finn and I moved in with the parentals, and I have to say—it’s going really well. He loves being around his Didi and Papa, I love watching them together, having some extra hands to help with an active almost-three year old, and believe it or not—–I have fun hanging out with my folks. I feel very lucky that I have this time to enjoy us all being together, and to save for the future. The house finally sold, so I can officially start a new nest egg after we close next week.
Of course there are the moments when we push each others buttons, but we have just enough growth to respect each others boundaries, and laugh at our idiosyncrasies. I realize that many people never get to this place with their parents, so again—I feel very lucky.
Finn is getting so big, and we are having a blast going to the park, and having conversations together (when he slows down enough for me to catch my breath). Lately he is obsessed with blowing dandelions.
I’m so excited that my brother and sister-in-law have started a new blog! Please visit them, comment, and pass it on to everyone you know. I (the big sister, full of good ideas), think they should do a TV show as a couple about fishing and life. They are just way too cute to not be picked up by a network.
